PTA Meeting

6th Mar 2026

23rd February 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Launching a PTA at Oakview School

We are excited to share that we would like to establish a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Oakview School.

A PTA plays a vital role in strengthening the partnership between home and school. It provides wonderful opportunities to bring families together, build a strong sense of community, and create memorable experiences for our children. Just as importantly, a PTA helps to raise additional funds that can be used to enrich the school experience — whether through enhancing learning resources, improving facilities, or funding special events and activities that might otherwise not be possible.

At a time when school budgets are increasingly stretched, fundraising can make a real and tangible difference to the opportunities we are able to offer our pupils. Beyond fundraising, however, a PTA helps foster community spirit, encourages collaboration, and gives parents and carers a meaningful way to be involved in school life.

To make this a success, we do need a small group of parents willing to take on leadership roles and help organise and coordinate activities. However, you do not need to commit to a formal position to get involved. We are also looking for parents and carers who may simply wish to lend a hand at events, share ideas, or support occasionally when they are able. Every contribution, big or small, will be valued.

If you are interested in being part of this exciting new chapter for Oakview, please join us for an initial meeting on:

Friday 6th March at 9:00am
KS2 Hall

At this meeting, we will discuss next steps, explore possible roles, and begin shaping what our PTA could look like.

We very much hope you will consider getting involved and helping us build something special for our children and our wider school community.

We look forward to seeing you there.
