Music Vision

At Oakview Primary School, we believe every child is a musician. From Early Years to Year 6, our vision is to nurture a love of music through singing, playing, listening and creating. We want children to experience the joy and power of music—whether performing with others or expressing themselves individually. 

Through a rich and varied curriculum, we build confidence, teamwork and creativity. Pupils explore music from different cultures and traditions, develop key skills such as rhythm and notation and learn to listen with appreciation and curiosity. 

By the time they leave us, our children feel connected, empowered and inspired by the music they make and the music they hear.
