Matilda

What an incredible experience our children had this week as 50 pupils from Years 3–6 travelled to London’s West End to see the spectacular musical Matilda!

For many of our children, this was their first experience of seeing a West End production, and it was wonderful to see their excitement from the moment we arrived. From the lights and the atmosphere of the theatre to the incredible singing, dancing, acting and spectacular stage production, the children were completely captivated.

There were smiles, laughter and plenty of excitement throughout the afternoon – and the children absolutely loved the show!

At Oakview, we are passionate about giving our children opportunities to experience new, exciting and inspiring things. We believe that education is about so much more than what happens in the classroom. Trips, performances, cultural experiences and opportunities to explore the wider world help children to develop confidence, broaden their horizons and create memories that they will carry with them for years to come.

Taking 50 children into the West End was a wonderful opportunity to do exactly that. It was fantastic to see the children experiencing the magic of live theatre and talking enthusiastically about the performance afterwards.

We are incredibly proud of how brilliantly the children represented Oakview throughout the trip. Their excitement, enthusiasm and excellent behaviour made the day even more special.
