Root'd Year 5/6 Residential

Year 5 & 6 Residential Adventure at Root’d!

Pupils from Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic time on their residential trip to Root’d at Phasels Wood, where they enjoyed an action-packed outdoor adventure and even spent the night under canvas in a bell tent village!

Throughout the trip, the children threw themselves into a wide range of activities and games. They tested their aim with archery, worked together during den building and bushcraft, learnt how to safely light a fire, and challenged themselves to reach new heights with rock climbing. It was wonderful to see pupils encouraging one another, working as a team and showing real resilience when faced with new challenges.

The fun continued into the evening with the eagerly anticipated Root’d’s Got Talent! Our pupils certainly did not disappoint! We were treated to a brilliant variety of performances, including singing, acting and even magic tricks. The confidence and talent on display left the staff in awe and provided plenty of laughter and entertainment before bedtime.

A successful trip, with a huge amount of fun had by everyone, friendships were strengthened and challenges were overcome. Most importantly, the children returned home with stories to tell and memories that we hope will last a lifetime.

What a fantastic adventure for Year 5 and 6!
